Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can play without creating an account or giving us your name or email.
• Your progress is stored on your own device.
• If you use Friend Leagues, we store an anonymous player ID, the nickname you choose, and your Daily scores.
• We show ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads.
• We don't sell your personal information.

1. Information stored on your device (localStorage)

The game saves your settings, streaks, scores history, glossary cards, Career progress, Trader Journal, a game in progress, and (if you use leagues) your sign-in session in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us, except for the league data described below. You can delete it any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.

2. Friend Leagues (Supabase)

Friend Leagues is optional. When you open it, the game creates an anonymous account with our database provider Supabase (no email, no password). We then store:

• a random player ID and the nickname you choose (visible to other players in your leagues and on the global daily leaderboard),
• the leagues you create or join,
• your Daily Challenge results (score, return, patterns correct, difficulty level, date).

Supabase also processes standard technical data (such as IP address) to run and secure the service. Please don't use your real full name or personal details as a nickname. To delete your league data, email us at mtblonn@gmail.com with your nickname and we'll remove it.

3. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message (provided by Google's certified consent management platform) and can accept or decline personalized ads and change their choice later. Where required, non-personalized ads are shown when you decline.

If rewarded video ads are enabled for hints, they are delivered by Google's H5 Games Ads and only play when you choose to watch one.

4. Hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify, which may log technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.

5. Children

Market Daily is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information (for example a league nickname), contact us and we'll delete it.

6. Your choices and rights

You can play without leagues, clear your local data at any time, opt out of personalized ads using the links above, and ask us to access or delete league data. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law) you may have additional rights; contact us to use them.
